How Electric Car Battery Works?

Internal combustion engine cars get energy from burning gasoline or diesel, while electric cars get energy directly from a large set of batteries.

It's very much like the enlarged version of the lithium-ion battery in your phone. Electric cars don't use single batteries like mobile phones, they use battery packs made up of thousands of separate lithium-ion batteries. When the car is charged, the electricity is used to change the chemistry inside the car EV battery. As it travels on the road, these changes in turn generate electricity.
